Good morning, all. Things are cruising right along here at Calla's house. Calla is sleeping great, most of the time, and that means that Kathy and I are mostly well rested. Two nights ago Calla was a little grumpy between 12am and 3am, which left everyone a little sleepy yesterday. We made up for it last night, though, as Calla slept great between feedings.
Calla is doing fine in all regards. She is a good eater, sleeper, and diaper-filler. Tomorrow we go back to the pediatrician to weigh her and make sure that she's on track to be the first female linebacker for the Florida Gators (all SEC team, of course). Actually, I think it's just to make sure that she has gained back her 7lb birthweight, but Daddy can dream. I'm just kidding, of course. Who knows, maybe she'll be a ballerina. At UF. Or, Luther College, I suppose.

I can see it in her eyes...She's thinking, "It's great to be a Florida Gator". :)
I hate to disagree with Robin but I think Calla is thinking how great it would be to be a cheerleader for the Luther College Norsemen or perhaps how much she'd like to pitch softball for the LC Norse women or, just maybe, that looks like an oboe embouchure and she is dreaming of playing for the CSO. We will never know what is behind those eyes at this time but we can pretend we know.
Hmmm...I think Calla may want to break out and be a star on the debate team at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. Ok, so, maybe not...but, I can dream. :)
Glad to hear all is well. XO, Lisa B.
Of course, I didn't mention my undergrad alma mater, where Calla will of course earn her BS (or... [gasp]... BA): Stetson University in Deland, Florida.
What a darling Kodak moment! Love this photo! Can't wait to see you all again on Sunday. ENJOY the good sleeping (just in case!).
Look at the fingers on this kid -- I'm guessing she'll be playing piano in no time!
