And one month later... (and six weeks later...) (and three months later...)

I first started this blog post about three months ago. Somehow, time has elapsed. And no, Jess, the blog isn't sick. It's just a little busy with two kids on its hands.

I'll post more pictures and a few comments later, but now, to comment on the photos I first posted in January...

One of Corrie's first smiles

One of our first outings - to a Saluki basketball game. Note both Calla's pigtails and her pompoms. Corrie was less enthused, but she'll catch Saluki fever eventually.

The two sisters. I love both of their expressions here - Calla's is her standard cheesy grin for the camera, Corrie's says "Woah - if Mom's got the camera, who's got me?!?"

So much more to say, but I'll post this now before another two months go by. I hear a baby chirping on her monitor and off I go...

She's Here!

Welcome to the world, Corinne Louise!

Our Thanksgiving baby was born - with great gratitude - early Saturday morning, all seven pounds, fourteen ounces and twenty and a half inches of her. As far as labors go, this one was not terribly grueling... just under eight hours, with minimal drama. Despite her reluctance to make an appearance, our little Corrie Lou did not need much of a nudge to make a grand entry.

We've been home since Sunday. All's well... Calla's glad to have her little sister here - most of the time. We're a little sleepy, but feeling good, especially since Joe has been attending to our every need, including bringing home a little bit of chocolate for a pick-me-up snack today. Such a good husband.

More later, including more pictures of the sisters. But now, time to attend to my baby. And maybe take another nap.
