Home, healthy, and happy

Homeward bound

We are all home now and doing well. Calla is a happy girl who has been a good eater and a good sleeper ever since we left the hospital early Friday afternoon. She still has to be awakened to eat every few hours, but all systems appear to be working properly, which is great news. We are having fun with Calla and once in a while catch ourselves staring at her as she sleeps or looks around with wide eyes. She only fusses when she needs to (or gets a diaper change, which she hates). All of our friends and neighbors around are being tremendously helpful and generous, which has also been a huge help. People from church will be bringing us meals beginning this evening, which will be a help. Also, my sister Jeri s here and has been an enormous aid since Friday (she does a great job with the laundry now that I showed her how much starch I take in my collars). She had planned to come this weekend to spend some time with use before the baby was born but, well, nobody told Calla or K's preeclampsia. It has worked out very well, though, and we have been enjoying her company during this time. She is in charge of audio/video operations, too, and we have some video, which I will figure out how to post later (today, maybe), so stay tuned!
