Temporary housing

We have now made it one physical step of the way to our new home. Our beloved townhome in Oak Park is sold and gone. This evening, I (Joe) am typing this entry from a temporary apartment kindly provided to us for a few weeks by my previous landlord, as a favor. Our new home in Carbondale is now all set to close, and a date and time have been officially set as of today, which is great news, since we (well, I) have to be there in a few weeks, no matter what. We are making the best of our time here in the apartment (which has been kind of fun, honestly, since we have so little stuff to maintain - I am blogging from a camp chair with my feet on the "coffee table," which is an igloo cooler), but are getting excited about our new home down south.

One nice thing about the apartment: We get cagey so we go do more things. Here are K and C at the Brookfield Zoo (in foreground). Heh.

It's a Luther thing.
