What do you mean it's March?

Wow. It's March already. Chicagoland is starting to look like we may have Spring after all, although the ~4 inches of snow that we got over the last few days wouldn't convince anyone of that. Today, though, the snow has given way to warm sunlight, and the pets are gladly soaking it up - lying in the sun patch until too warm and then relocating to a nearby shady place, only to return.

All of this means that Calla is witnessing her first Spring! Tomorrow will be her first Easter. Kathy has bought a dress for her and candy for us.

Update on Calla: She is doing great! Calla still does not have any teeth, but she is clearly working on them. It really could be any day now. She is an excellent sitter and rarely tips over any more. She is also good on her tummy, but doesn't quite crawl yet. She is scooting backwards a bit while in tummy time, as you can see in the following video. Crawling/walking can't be too far off.

A happy baby and her pug dog
